About Us

The Barron Park Donkeys have long been a resource for the local community, preserving a piece of rural farm life that reminds technology-minded locals of pastoral life and providing stress relief to visitors and passersby. Before the current group of volunteers maintained the donkeys, the Bol family kept the donkey pasture up and running. Once the Bol children left for lives of their own and their parents passed, the responsibility was passed down to friends of the Bols, and from there, donkey care responsibilities were taken on by Barron Park neighborhood volunteers forming the Barron Park Donkey Project.
